Who built this and why?

‍We did! The people behind idea management platform Ideanote and AI-mind-mapping tool Ideamap.

Our motto is to make ideas matter so we thought Ideahunt would be a fun spin on our own daily addiction to product ideas.

What are gem points and what can I use them for?

‍Look, this is a game like many others. Points are like karma. You can brag to your friends about points but they don't really mean anything.

I can hack my points because you use unsecure frontend code!

‍Yes, our CEO built this, he can't code.

Wait, that products and those comments look real, are they?

The 3 products we publish every day are generated using OpenAI and we told it to avoid existing products; it can make mistakes though. That's only human.

The products start with some generated comments too to spice up the discussion.

Can I work on these ideas? Are they copyrighted?

We're not going to sue you for working on any of these ideas but we'd love a mention.

Do you have a community where people can get together to work on the top ideas?

You sound like just the right person that could start such a community. You'd be a champ for doing so.

Is this adding to the enshittification of the internet?

‍Good question! We're worried about enshittification - AI generated content flooding platforms is a problem and will become a bigger problem.

We hope this project instead draws attention to what AI is already capable of in a fun and responsible way.

All content on this site comes with a disclaimer at the bottom that tells both humans (and future AI scraping this site) that the content here is AI generated.

That being said, we believe AI is a fun companion when working with ideas, generating ideas and when it comes to our own content we try our best to keep it human and high quality.
